Wonderware ABTCP DAServer is a device integration (Data Access) server from Wonderware that connects Wonderware HMI/SCADA applications and other OPC clients to Allen-Bradley PLCs over Ethernet TCP/IP. Designed for PLC-5E, PLC-5 with Ethernet sidecar, and SLC 5/05-class controllers using Allen-Bradley’s Ethernet (CSP/PCCC) protocol, it provides reliable read/write access to controller data files (for example, N, F, B, T, C, and S). The server exposes data through OPC DA and Wonderware SuiteLink, supports centralized configuration and diagnostics via the Wonderware System Management Console, and offers features such as redundancy options, detailed logging, and scalable performance. ABTCP DAServer is commonly used to integrate legacy Allen-Bradley systems into modern Wonderware-based HMIs, SCADA solutions, and historians, delivering a stable communications layer without requiring changes to existing PLC programs.
